A vintage style curved jug with Thistles design, size typically 9.5" from base to spout. Each jug is individually sourced and the thistles and bees are hand painted, with wrap round design. Ideal for flower displays or simply to be enjoyed as an unusual work of art in its own right.
This jug is ceramic and covered with two coats of base primer as recommended by paint manufacturers. The background colour is carefully chosen to suit the particular design. The subjects are subsequently painted in acrylic to the level of detail I apply to my traditional paintings. After drying, the finishing and protection will be achieved by two coats of varnish, which brings out the colours even more.
