Acrylic Original on Aluminium Size 12" x 12"
This Otter design is on a 3mm aluminium panel, which is an anodised surface, widely considered the best process for the application of acrylic paint. There is no residue from the process, which effectively changes the structure of the aluminium above and below the surface. The panels present a smooth, grey, satin finish and priming is unnecessary as the very fine, regular, porous surface suits fluid paint well. After complete drying and curing the acrylic colour is bonded to the surface. The panel is mounted on a cotton canvas frame.
