Framed size 18" x 12", with non reflective glass.  An interesting short story about this commission.  The Earful framed print was hanging in Brett gallery and a potential buyer contacted me to see if I had another painting that would be appropriate to display on the opposite side of their fireplace.  The bird of my choice was the Redwing in a similar setting!  SOLD through Brett Gallery 

The Redwing is most commonly encountered as a winter bird and is the UK's smallest true thrush. Its creamy strip above the eye and orange-red flank patches make it distinctive.  Read more.....RSPB Redwing

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
