Puffins Original Acrylic " Circus of Puffins "

Framed size 8" x 23", with non reflective glass.   I liked this collective noun for these particularly cheeky looking clowns.  Surprisingly there are others!  Raft, parliament, loomery and indeed improbability!  Circus seems just right for this painting.  SOLD at Brett Gallery, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk.  This painting sold out of its limited edition 25 print run.

Puffins are unmistakable birds with black back and white underparts, distinctive black head with large pale cheeks and tall, flattened, brightly-coloured bill. Its comical appearance is heightened by its red and black eye-markings and bright orange legs.  Read more.....RSPB Puffins 

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
