Ringed Plovers Original Acrylic

Framed size  9" x 21", with non reflective glass.  I like to name my paintings as much as possible, other than by the particular bird name.  I have struggled with these characters on the shoreline however so my latest painting is simply "Ringed Plovers".   Again, I thoroughly enjoyed painting the surroundings as much as the birds!  SOLD at Cockfield Art Exhibition.

The ringed plover is a small, dumpy, short-legged wading bird. It is brownish grey above and whitish below with an orange bill, tipped with black, orange legs and a black-and-white pattern on its head and breast.  Read more.....RSPB Ringed Plovers

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
