Framed size 18" x 12", with non reflective glass. Also known as the English partridge, Hungarian partridge, or hun, is a gamebird in the pheasant family. They are traditionally found in lowland arable areas of Great Britain from the chalk areas in the south, into East Anglia, Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire, reaching into the north of England and the East of Scotland as far as Aberdeenshire. They are medium-sized birds with distinctive orange faces. They fly with whirring wings and occasional glides, showing a chestnut tail. Read more....RSPB Grey Partridge.
I have really enjoyed painting their detailed, striking markings. SOLD at the Suffolk Show.
The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting. The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
