Barn Owl Original Acrylic

Framed size 16"x12", with non reflective glass.  My favourite of our native owls.  We have had several brought into the vets where I work over time and I am always astounded by their beauty.  SOLD at Brett Gallery, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk.  I never tire of painting the Barn Owl and would be very happy to paint another.    This one has sold out of its limited edition 25 print run.

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.    

The Barn Owl is a species of open country, favouring lowland habitats such as farmland and young plantation woodland. Populations have recovered somewhat from an earlier period of decline.  Read more.....RSPB Barn Owl
