Framed size 21" x 9", with non reflective glass. These Long Tailed Tits had an exciting start as I sold them very shortly after publication on Facebook. SOLD to a private buyer.
The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting. The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
The long-tailed tit is an easily recognisable bird with its distinctive colouring, a tail which is bigger than its body, and undulating flight. Gregarious and noisy residents, long-tailed tits are most usually noticed in small, excitable flocks of about 20 birds.
Like most tits, they rove the woods and hedgerows, but are also seen on heaths and commons with suitable bushes. Read more.....RSPB Long Tailed Tits
