Framed Size 18" x 12", with non reflective glass.  A familiar and popular garden song bird.  While I was researching the Song Thrush I was saddened to learn that it is a Red List species.  Passage from The Darkling Thrush by Thomas Hardy......At one a voice arose among the bleak twigs.....In a full-hearted evensong of joy unlimited.....An aged Thrush, frail, gaunt and small, in blast-beruffled plumes.....Had chosen thus to fling his soul.....Upon the growing gloom.   SOLD at the Hadleigh Show.

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
