Framed size 18" x 12", with non reflective glass..  My first Jay, a commission with an interesting story behind it! John went to have some brass plates engraved for my browsers, only to find that his contact was a breeder of various birds, including the Jay.  he has since bought one of my churns.

Although they are the most colourful members of the crow family, jays are actually quite difficult to see. They are shy woodland birds, rarely moving far from cover.  Read more....RSPB Jay

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
