Framed Size 9" x 21", with non reflective glass. This bird collection shows not only the beautiful plumage of this bird but also the difference between the male and female. The first bird is the female, noticeably larger though with less vibrant colours. We are lucky to have a fairly strong population in this part of Suffolk but in other areas in the country, it is sadly on amber alert. SOLD at Needham Market Art Exhibition.
The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting. The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
