Goldfinches Acrylic Original " Five Gold Rings "

Framed size 18" x 12", with non reflective glass.   This painting was commissioned for a golden wedding anniversary, the choice of name seemed apt.  SOLD Privately.

Goldfinches can be seen anywhere there are scattered bushes and trees, rough ground with thistles and other seeding plants. Likes orchards, parks, gardens, heathland and commons. Less common in upland areas and most numerous in southern England. It is a highly coloured finch with a bright red face and yellow wing patch. The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
