Little Owl Original " Two Hoots "

Framed Size 12" x 12", with non reflective glass.  A cheeky looking pair, each on the look out. SOLD through Jonathan Lambert Fine Art Gallery, Lavenham.

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.    

This small owl was introduced to the UK in the 19th century. It can be seen in the daylight, usually perching on a tree branch, telegraph pole or rock. It will bob its head up and down when alarmed. In flight it has long, rounded wings, rapid wingbeats and flies with a slight undulation.
