Kingfisher Original Acrylic " Chain Gang "

Framed size 9" x 21", with non reflective glass.   Following the success of my ever popular kingfisher work, I decided to paint a three linked picture this time, each bird perched on a rusty chain, pondering the hovering damselfly in between. Price £140.00.  SOLD at Brett Gallery, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk, it became a wedding gift I understand.  This was an unusual idea, which seemed to fascinate the buyer.  

Kingfishers are small unmistakable bright blue and orange birds of slow moving or still water. They fly rapidly, low over water, hunting fish from riverside perches, occasionally hovering above the water's surface.  Read more....RSPB Kingfisher

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
