Wren Original Acrylic " Jenny Wren "

Framed Size 12" x 12", with non reflective glass.  I hope the simplicity of this painting appeals, the idea just came to me.  I love it!  In a smaller, square frame, it definitetly has it place! SOLD at the Hadleigh Show. 

The wren is a tiny brown bird, although it is heavier and not as slim as the even smaller goldcrest. It is dumpy, almost rounded, with a fine bill, quite long legs and toes, very short round wings and a short, narrow tail which is sometimes cocked up vertically. For such a small bird it has a remarkably loud voice.  Read more.....RSPB Wren 

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
