Raven Original Acrylic " Nevermore "

Framed Size 18" x 12", with non reflective glass.  This has been one of my most specific and challenging commissions, one I have enjoyed rising up to though.  Ironically the bird was the most straightforward aspect!   Lots of research throughout and I am relieved to say that my client is delighted with the end result.    SOLD of course!

The raven is a big black bird, a member of the crow family. It is massive - the biggest member of the crow family. It is all black with a large bill, and long wings. In flight, it shows a diamond-shaped tail.  Read more....RSPB Raven. 

The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting.  The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
