Framed Size 12" x 12", with non reflective glass. A Nuthatch in my smaller painting range, it has made an excellent card too. SOLD at Brett Gallery, Monks Eleigh, Suffolk.
Nuthatches will use nest boxes, often plastering mud around the entrance hole until it meets their exacting requirements. Nuthatches prefer old holes in large, mature deciduous trees, but they like to line them with bark flakes from conifers, especially Scots Pine. Read more.....BTO Nuthatch
The painting is on Cold Press, extra heavy, off white Crescent art board and I aim to produce the finest detail in both the subject and its natural setting. The shade of the Daler mountboard is carefully selected depending on the painting, as is the toning of the frame itself.
